Let's face it: many of us still want to look young and vital at 60. However, the condition of our skin often reveals our age. Even worse, it may make us look older than we are. It is no secret that certain foods can help us age more slowly. We call them anti-ageing foods. It is essential that we take in enough of these products to naturally counteract the signs of ageing.
Today we are talking about green vegetables (courgettes, kohlrabi and fennel). These are rich in antioxidants that protect our skin from free radicals. In addition, green vegetables contain many essential nutrients that nourish and moisturise our skin for a healthy glow.
This is what you need for two people:
100 g green courgettes
50 g kohlrabi
50 g fennel
100 g celery root
50 g sweet potatoes
100 g red onions
1 clove of garlic
50 g Jerusalem artichoke
5 sage leaves
0.5 tsp rosemary needles
Olive oil for frying
125 g sheep's cheese
For the bechamel sauce
25 g butter
25 g flour
300 ml milk
To taste Nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
How to prepare the anti-ageing lunch:
First peel the onions and wash, clean the vegetables. Then cut all the vegetables into three mm thin slices. Season them with salt and pepper on both sides. Then heat some olive oil in a pan and fry the vegetables on both sides. Place the fried strips on a grill. Now it's time to make the béchamel sauce. First melt the butter in a saucepan. Sauté the flour in it. Pour in the milk, stirring constantly. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens. Then season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Spread the sauce on a casserole dish. Now put in the first layer of vegetable slices (one type of vegetable per layer). Sprinkle each layer with garlic, feta cheese and herbs. Make the top layer with feta cheese and bechamel sauce. Bake the vegetable lasagne in a preheated oven at 200 °C for approx. 25 minutes.
Enjoy your meal!
